Dear Friends,
What is the Scoop?
Well, this email is a bit late going out {OK, very late for June}, please forgive us, we have been up to many exciting things! This email is really going to be a quick one, just to update you all with the things we have been up to and what is to come for the month of July. Besides celebrating Father's Day in June, for our amazing Greg, we also sent Christi off to California to live with Jennifer's parents. If you would like, you can keep up to date with Christi's life on her very informative and humorous blog here: www.cpthatsme.com So without further adieu, check out what we have been up to!
On June 11, we participated in the Cutlerville Community Days Parade! We staged a "mock" Wedding complete with a Bride and Groom, antique cars, a bouquet toss, 2012 Senior BOSS Representatives and oh wait, of course, Photographers! :) Check out some of the pictures and our special thank you's here: Cutlerville Days Parade
On June 17th, we captured Allie and Trevor Baldwin's Wedding day in Jackson, MI. On June 25th, we captured Amber and Andy Chesterman's Wedding day in Grand Rapids, MI. We had a fabulous time at both Weddings. Both brides have been friends of Nicole's for some time now, so it was quite an honor to be able to capture their Weddings. A few sneak peak images are up on our blog.
On June 20th, we had our monthly PPWM meeting. This month, Greg Schrader was our speaker! The topic was titled: "Change the Way You Photograph the World." Greg's presentation was incredible. His focus was on Wedding Photography and how we as photographers have a choice. A choice to decide who we are going to be not only as individuals, but as Professional Photographers and specifically how we handle situations which at the time may seem out of our control or too overwhelming to deal with. Greg's numerous stories and practical examples of how he did not just merely "sit by" in complex situations and how he reacted to produce a very positive outcome for each client were inspirational. Greg, thank you for sharing from your heart, and for being so transparent with each of us that night. You are awesome, your work is fabulous and we hope you will come back and visit our group again in the future!
Several days in June, we were very privileged to capture a Senior Session and several Family Sessions, which we recently blogged about here: Family Sessions. We also had the opportunity to capture several corporate portraits during the month of June for Norman Family Dentistry.
Yesterday, we captured Ilena and Kenny Cheatom's Wedding day in Grand Rapids, MI. Despite it being very warm and the looming threat of thunderstorms, our prayers were answered, and it was a beautiful day for an outdoor Wedding at Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. We cannot wait to get a sneak peak up :)
Last night, the results of a "Cutest Baby Contest" came in and one of our infant Sessions with Baby Payton was featured and she won first place! Congratulations Shannon {mother} and baby Payton.
Today, we received word this morning that our Alice and Wonderland inspired engagement session was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings {UK Wedding blog}. See the post here!

Quote of the Month:
"The mother-daughter relationship is the most complex."
~Wynonna Judd
As we prepare for departure tomorrow for our travels throughout Colorado and California for the month of July, we wanted to say something. Besides Batman and Robin {Biff, Baff, Bop} being known as the "Dynamic Duo" of the super hero realm, we find ourselves more and more being so accustomed to working with one another. As easy as it may be to take for granted our current working relationship, we wanted to share how incredibly thankful we are to be able to work alongside one another. A Mother and Daughter team, there are not very many of those around, well at least to our knowledge and through our vast research {thank you GOOGLE!}. All kidding aside, we acknowledge what a privilege it is to work together {and to occasionally add Shelli, our able bodied Assistant}, and to get along and have fun throughout all different scenarios and situations. It is our hope to continue to do so for as long as God allows and blesses us to do so. Thank you all for reading and following us as our adventures unfold, we will see you on the other side of July, with of course, lots of cool and exciting updates of our travels and the memories we made along the way.
With much Sincerity,
Jen & Nicole-
