What is the Scoop?
November?!? WOW I know we said that September went fast, but man, its practically Winter here in Michigan! Not sure how that happened, however, we sure had wonderful warm weather in October! We hope all of you had lots of fun festivities last month to celebrate the beautiful Fall colors of Michigan.

Heading into the colder months of Michigan (November-January) is the perceived "slow season" for photographers, so we would like to change that. =) We are going to be offering some very fantastic specials. First and foremost, on November 13th and 20th (both Saturdays) we will be offering our 30 minute for $30.00 Studio Sessions (there is a $70.00 print/merchandise order minimum required for these sessions). These will be held on specific time slots throughout both days and will be at our Clarksville location. These sessions would be great for business headshots, small groups or families, spur of the moment just because couple shots, etc. If you would like more information about those sessions, please let us know! Stay tuned for some other special things coming along throughout December and January. (A *hint* for December is that we will be offering buy one get one half off prints, VERY awesome deal).

As we head into this Thanksgiving Season we hope you and your loved ones have safe travels (we will be driving to New Kensington, Pennsylvania to visit the Praneiwicz side of the family) and also that you take every opportunity to pause and reflect on how much you have been given, and we shall do the same.

Image of the Month: "Certified Professional Photographer"

This photograph was taken by Shelli (the budding photographer of Jenuine Creations, LLC) of Jennifer (aka: mom) a few weeks ago, during a lovely engagement session we did at our Byron Center location. The reason to have this image as the image of the month is truly a milestone accomplishment.

Jennifer was challenged back in February by the famous Sandy Puc at a seminar she was conducting, to pursue excellence and the next level of professionalism by becoming a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America. Jennifer declared her candidacy (which gives you up to three years to complete) in the Spring of 2010. Then began the arduous task of studying for the two hour exam and also preparing a 20 image portfolio for adjudication by five PPA certified judges.

Jennifer submitted her portfolio in late summer and was "over the moon" when she received her blue envelope in September, declaring her image submission had passed! (She was half way there) She took the exam with five other brave photographer friends from Professional Photographers of West Michigan, (none of them thought they passed). To everyone's shock, surprise and great relief, in mid-October they all received their passing letters via USPS. Then, two weeks ago, Jennifer received her "golden ticket" (her certification diploma) in the mail, so now it is safe to say, YIPPEE!!!

We hope through the inspiration that Jennifer received through Sandy, that you too will be inspired to go out and pursue that one thing that has been calling your name, your dream or just ideas that you have been thinking about for a long time. We all have moments of realization such as the one we just shared with you, but in short it is never to late to learn, to dream and to succeed.
